Authorised marriage celebrants are the only people that can perform a legal marriage between two people in civil ceremony in Australia. If you have your friend perform a ceremony in your back yard one lovely Sunday arvo it might be awesome but it isn’t a legal wedding.

Alongside all the vows and storytelling I am here to make sure all the legalities are taken care of for you. There are some forms we need to fill out and some legal stuff we need to take care of but I am here to make sure they all get done quickly and easily. It is all part of the service that I provide to make your wedding as hassle free as possible.

In Australia the fastest you can get married is one month and if I am available I can help make that happen.

Most weddings are usually booked between 6 - 12 months in advance.
This gives you enough time to get all of your different services booked, invite your guests and to get everyone and everything in place before your big day.

Once you choose me as your Celebrant that is when we take care of all your legal stuff and start planning your ceremony.

Depending on the type of ceremony you choose we will start setting up our meeting and I’ll start working with you to plan your ceremony.
